The needs analysis is the very first step in developing a Virtual Gaming Simulation (VGS). The needs analysis identifies the target audience, desired outcomes, and training recommendations. A needs analysis sets the stage to design and develop an effective instructional design experience.

The first Envision-VGS is developed in co-creation with the students of the 3rd year of the nursing program at Artevelde University of Applied Sciences. Just having completed the module on home health care, we ask them for their educational needs that could be translated in an online simulation experience.
